In August 1968 steam traction on BR officially ended. This new book takes the reader on a photographic journey across the transitional years, from the end of steam and into the diesel and electric eras. These contemporary photographs have never been published before and offer a unique window into the past, and into a time of enormous change, linking the steam age with the new one that followed.
